Apple Crisp

Ingredients
- 4 cups sliced apples
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/2 cup white sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup butter
- 3/4 cup all-purpose flour

Directions:

1. Preheat oven to 200 degrees C. Grease an 8x8 inch baking dish.

2. Place apples in prepared dish. Sprinkle with cinnamon. Pour water over all. In a bowl, cream together sugar and butter. Blend in flour. Sprinkle mixture evenly over apples.

3. Bake in preheated oven for 40 minutes, or until apples are tender and crust is golden.

Notes: I used my microwave to bake for the first time! The settings were a bit tricky. It took so long to preheat that I just put the cobbler in and waited until it looked ready. It took around an hour.

Chocolate Heart Pancake

Notes: I saw this done in a cook book I flipped through at the library. My pancake failed, but I'm not sure why. The heart was too liquidy and got broken up by the pancake mix when I poured it on the pan. Next time, I'll draw the picture, and then put the pan on the stove. Maybe I'll use chocolate from a tube instead of melting my own.
